About the Author
Alon Ziv has written and lectured on the biology of interracial people for more than 10 years. He's appeared on the BBC London Evening News, the KTLA Morning Show, Air America, BBC Radio, and local radio across the United States. He was awarded the Certificate of Distinction in Teaching in Biology from UCLA. He lives in Los Angeles.

I bought this book from Amazon about three years ago and it changed my perspective on inter-racial people. Inter-racial to include African Americans, and Hispanics both of which have a considerable amount of admixture in their genetics. I'm reviewing this book now because I just watched a South African colored man in Wayde Van Niekerk win the 400m gold in the 2016 Olympics. Hybrid vigor is a real thing. This book describes the why and how. Looking through a social lens I understand how some people are bothered of these ideas. However I'm not bothered by these ideas, rather I'm excited by them. Genetically speaking this book makes a huge statement that is really difficult to disprove..

slick and shallow book

i read this book recently and while there are some interesting points and some thing that will get your attention, i found it to try to sell something that can't be proven and also it can't possible speak for everybody and there upbringing genes, etc.. it tries to spin the wheel and say we all belong to the human race and yet it doesn't address the obvious racial hatred and tension that still exsists today and also this book trys to mask selling a look when in fact that is all Hollywood has ever done and alot of this book to me has a Plantation mentality. this book might have been something if it had have explored the full scope of its subject matter a bit better.

Another perspective

The title of the book "Breeding Between The Lines" intrigued me so I looked online at the publisher's summary and the reviews. The author promotes race as definitive biological distinction. This seems a bit outdated as science proves there isn't much biological difference between apparent "types" of physical characteristics. So I corresponded with the author via email to clarify his position. Yes he does claim that "race mixing" provides distinct biological advantages for physical appearance, health and longevity. Fascinating as an opposing racist position, to the racist philosophy of miscegenation based on constructed and enforced white superiority. Overall it might be useful to find new, less contrversial language for describing humanity.
