Beautiful Mystery

Cover- primary setting, could use a pop of red.
Character development- my head was spinning trying to remember all the characters introduced early on, but they were beautifully developed throughout the book.

Recomendation-definitely would add it to your library and at inky 2.99 its a bargain!

I do a lot of reading and I think this book was well written. Being from Saint Paul it was easy to picture places the book talks about. I loved it and hope Jim Fetterman is considering a sequel.

Oh damn... Kindle, computer Kindle, and I bought the hardcopy! I had to have it available at every possible moment for me to read!
I know it's fiction but it's almost like I'm given a glimpse of what a drag queen's life may be like. I'm glad the story didn't have senseless murders, just to say have someone die.
I appreciated the character development of each individual. You're able to see how each of the character's earlier life experiences landed them in specific situations later. Some too vulnerable, and allowing their self-esteem to be manipulated by predators. Life lessons about ones you think are your friends and might have your best interests at heart, but are really trying to take advantage of you.
Gay (drag) culture is flamboyant, brash, loud... out there ! ! So foul language was normal and welcomed in my reading (I was hoping for even some more durrty! OH CHILD !) I'm just a whor-monger and felt I needed some raw animalistic sexual reading! !LOL I CRACKED up over some part about a pizza board getting stuck on the suction of a dildo! ! But if this is his first publishing, I understand that Mr Fetterman has to see what people like.
There was a part in the book that I started to wonder if the fight in the street when the book character "Jim Katz" head butted Raymond in the mouth and got a tooth stuck in his head....if that is the writer? I'm just saying. Anyway, I liked it a lot. It seems like it can be a next one... he seemed to leave it open! If so, I can't wait for it!
